SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Project Manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. Job Description: In support of the government program office, the Project Manager is principally responsible for exceptional accomplishment of assigned Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) including all aspects of project execution (cost, schedule, performance, and technical requirements). The PM is the program’s “face-to-the-customer,” responding to direction, negotiating project issues, team management, integration management, and successful completion of all project activities. Leads a multi-functional team of mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security (including cyber) and support specialists responsible for overall system operational availability. Required Education: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience. Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Required Skills: 9 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for mission-critical applications Experience managing large-scale modernization projects, to include cost estimating and management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting Experience delivering multiple simultaneous modernization initiatives.
