YARD FOREMAN (BRIGG)

Turnbull & Company is a family run business and Lincolnshire’s largest independent Builders’ Merchant. We have just over 200 employees across our branch network with deep local roots and we are looking for talented people to join our expanding teams. We currently have an opportunity for a Yard Foreman based at our Brigg Building & Plumbing supplies branch. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for customer service and who is confident to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Be responsible for the yard team and support them to ensure that customers are served promptly and effectively.
  • Liaise with branch manager and assistant branch manager to identify any issues within the yard that need addressing.
  • Assist branch manager in arranging transport requirements for deliveries.
  • Accurately check all incoming deliveries into the branch to ensure the contents are in accordance with delivery/carriers notes
  • Oversee the loading of our fleet of delivery vehicles ensuring that that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
  • Ensure that the yard areas are kept tidy, accessible and in good operational order at all times.
  • Oversee the security of yard stock by monitoring ingress and egress and controlling movement of stock in and out of the yard
