Job Summary The Standard Missile portfolio is seeking a Senior Material Program Manager (MPM), to support production contracts within the Naval Standard Missile Systems Production (NSMS) portfolio of Naval Power. In this role you will be responsible for the execution of franchise NSMS production programs that are critical to supporting the warfighter’s mission. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) processes, subcontract management, project management, financial forecasting, Estimates at Complete (EAC) as well as Earned Value (EV) deliverable. You will lead a team of 3-4 MPMs in support of executing these tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to be able to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. What You Will Do: Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives Lead by influence in a matrixed organization Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.).
