REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT – SOUTHWEST

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for surety and a drive to lead a high-performing team? Old Republic Surety Company is seeking a Regional Vice President – Southwest to join our dynamic leadership team. This role oversees a growing and diverse region that now includes Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Kansas, Western Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas. This is a hybrid position that offers flexibility and work-life balance, and the selected candidate may reside in any of the states within the Southwest Region.
As the Regional Vice President, you will oversee the management of assigned branch offices, providing leadership and development to branch personnel. You will play a critical role in training and supervising direct reports, ensuring that our high standards of performance are met and exceeded. In addition, you will contribute to the selection of new team members, helping to build a strong and cohesive team. Your expertise in contract surety underwriting will be essential as you promote and uphold Old Republic Surety Company’s underwriting standards, ensuring compliance and providing valuable input to Home Office regarding guidelines.
The Regional Vice President will also recommend authority levels and conditions for Bond Managers and Underwriters within the region, serving as the first line of contact for “over authority” submissions. You will work closely with branch leaders to coordinate and approve underwriting submissions within your authority limits, ensuring smooth operations and consistent decision-making. Your strategic insight will be invaluable in evaluating and executing annual business plans and budgets, aligning them with company objectives to drive profitability.
In this role, you will also focus on expense management, collaborating with Bond Managers to execute plans that meet budget goals. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and agency partners will be instrumental in driving sales and underwriting activities. As the Regional Vice President, your leadership will empower our teams to thrive, embodying our core values of being appreciative, committed, nimble, tenacious, balanced, generous, and fulfilled.
We are looking for a Regional Vice President with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience. Your proven track record in leadership, strategic planning, and surety underwriting will be key to your success in this role.
