Responsibilities:
- Groom and style pets according to client specifications and breed standards
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets’ fur or feathers
- Clip nails, clean ears, and perform other basic grooming tasks
- Assess pets’ health and report any abnormalities to the owner or veterinarian
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
Skills:
- Animal care: Knowledge of different breeds, their specific grooming needs, and common health issues
- Familiarity with basic pet health care, including recognising signs of illness or injury
- Customer service: Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners, understand their preferences, and provide a positive experience
Note: Prior experience as a professional pet groomer is compulsory. You’re expected to groom dogs, cats, handstrip and teeth clean. Please be prepared to send your previous grooms with various breeds such as: poodles, maltese, cockapoo, yorkie, wire haired breeds etc.
