JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of engineering drawings, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
The shift hours are: Mon-Wed 13.30-24.00; Thurs 13.30-23.00 (39 hours per week)

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Fitter or in a similar role is essential.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics is required.
• Familiarity with various fitting techniques and tools is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A background in mechanical engineering or related fields would be beneficial but not mandatory.

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to assemble components accurately.
• Use a variety of hand tools and machinery to fit parts together, ensuring precision and quality in every task.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in the training of new staff members as required, sharing knowledge and best practices.
