We are looking for Taiwanese Hokkien–English bilingual speakers to join a short-term remote project supporting the development of AI language systems. In this role, you will work with real-life Taiwanese Hokkien (台語 / Tâi-gí) audio recordings and transcribe them accurately. These recordings reflect natural conversations across different accents, age groups, and speaking styles. Your work will directly contribute to making AI better understand and represent Taiwanese Hokkien in real-world contexts. If you’re comfortable working with audio, detail-oriented, and can commit a few hours a day, this project is for you. What will I be doing? Listen to Taiwanese Hokkien audio clips and transcribe them accurately Split audio into appropriate sections based on natural speech flow Label speakers when more than one voice is present Add simple tags where required (e.g. gender, age range, emotion) Follow quality and annotation guidelines carefully Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager Project Details Duration: 2 months Time commitment: Around 4–6 hours per day Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am–6pm GMT +8) Working hours: Flexible (tasks can be completed anytime in the given deadline) Project period: March – April 2026 We welcome both native and non-native Taiwanese Hokkien speakers to apply.
