THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our Cardiothoracic/Vascular Ward at Strathfield Private Hospital! In this position you will be providing support to our cardiothoracic, vascular and heart failure patients across our 31-bed ward. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in cardiothoracic nursing
• Experience in managing patients experiencing heart failure
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the cardiology/cardiothoracic specialties (desirable)
• CCU experience (desirable)
• ILS/ALS/ CALS certification (desirable)
• Relevant post-graduate qualifications highly regarded

REQUIREMENTS

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
