Springwood Day Surgery is currently seeking a casual Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our Endoscopy team three days per week, (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) in our private day facility. Permanent part-time will be considered for the right candidate.

Ideally you will have

• Previous Endoscopy experience (highly desirable but not mandatory)
• Previous recovery experience (highly desirable but not mandatory)
• Recent experience in a hospital or day procedure environment
• Minimum 12 months post graduate nursing experience (highly desirable but not mandatory)

You will be expected to

• Provide quality care to clients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Work in all areas of the Day Surgery, including admission and discharge, recovery, reprocessing of endoscopes, assisting in Procedure Room
• Gain a working knowledge of relevant standard AS 5369:2023 Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health related facilities and follow existing infection control principles to meet this standard
• Work to ensure continuous quality improvement and abide by risk management guidelines
• Maintain and adhere to unit policies and procedures, work instructions and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with Admin staff, other nurses and VMOs in the delivery of quality healthcare

New graduates with some recovery or medical device reprocessing experience are welcome to apply. Endoscopy training will be provided for the successful candidate.
