We are looking for an enthusiastic Counter Sales person to join our Caerphilly Branch.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Building Material Knowledge
  • GCSE Maths (minimum grade C) and English Language with good numeracy and keyboard skills
  • Confident communicator with proven team work skills
  • Naturally tidy and organised
  • Willingness to engage with customers and provide good customer service
  • Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised
  • Reliable, industrious, adaptable and quick to grasp new concepts
  • Manual handling up to 25kg
  • Good knowledge of building materials and their usage

Responsibilities
  • Counter sales and related administration
  • Booking goods in and out, using point-of-sale terminal
  • Customer service, dealing with customers in person and on the phone
  • Merchandising and price labelling
  • Stock management
  • The role requires excellent selling skills, customer service and team-work skills with an understanding of building materials, stock control, orders, deliveries and pricing. Computerised point-of-sale training will be given.
