We are looking for a dedicated Mortgage Assistant to join our team in Boulder, Colorado, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting mortgage servicing activities, ensuring smooth coordination from loan origination to funding. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, providing exceptional service, and maintaining accuracy in all aspects of mortgage operations.

• Act as a subject matter expert, delivering centralized support for internal and external members with mortgage servicing inquiries.
• Process and maintain mortgage loan transactions, ensuring compliance with established servicing procedures.
• Conduct entry-level research and analysis of member accounts, addressing servicing requests and borrower needs.
• Resolve first-level conflicts with a focus on relationship building and effective communication.
• Collaborate with sub-servicing partners to address escalated mortgage servicing issues.
• Ensure the accuracy of account information and compliance with privacy standards, federal and state regulations, and credit union policies.
• Generate and review mortgage servicing reports, performing necessary actions and member outreach as required.
• Familiarity with mortgage documents, applications, and industry practices.
• Proven experience in customer service, particularly in a mortgage or banking environment.
• Proficiency in mortgage software systems such as Encompass.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and multitasking abilities.
• Comfort with virtual communication platforms like WebEx.
• Attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with team members and clients.
