We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts receivable, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.

• Conduct proactive collection calls to clients and businesses to recover outstanding payments.
• Generate and analyze reports to track collection activities and payment statuses.
• Accurately enter and update financial data, including payment records and account details.
• Process credit memos and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address payment issues and improve collection efficiency.
• Monitor aging accounts and follow up on overdue balances to minimize risk.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations during collection procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and implement best practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a collections role, preferably within a commercial or consumer environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients.
• Proficiency in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Familiarity with credit memos and payment reconciliation processes.
• Ability to analyze reports and identify trends in account activity.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of collections procedures and relevant regulations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
