JOB DESCRIPTION: Monitors, controls, and isolates problems in a data communications network. Monitors all network activity. Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless operation of IT systems. Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination. Supplements first level Service Desk after hours and as needed. Hosts meetings for critical changes, high priority issues, as well as Major Incidents. Authors consistent, concise, and accurate information through approved templates. Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. Responsible providing technical support for LAN/WAN or for a section of a larger network. May perform installation, modification and testing of network. It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee. These roles are crucial for maintaining the efficiency and uptime of an organization's IT infrastructure.
