Marketing Specialist 

Skanos is a proudly Australian-owned business with more than 25 years' experience providing premium commercial and industrial cooking equipment to the foodservice and food production sectors.

Formerly MKA Catering Equipment Systems, Skanos imports, designs and manufactures high-performance equipment and solutions for customers across food manufacturing, aged care and healthcare, hospitality and other commercial kitchen environments.

An opportunity is now available for an experienced Marketing Specialist to take ownership of the marketing function and support the continued growth of Skanos.

 

The Role

This is a commercially focused, hands-on B2B marketing role where you'll manage both strategy and execution within a close-knit team of 13.

Working closely with sales and management, you'll coordinate external suppliers and manage an offshore marketing team member responsible for social media.

One of your first major projects will be the Skanos website. You don't need to be a web designer or developer, but you'll need a strong eye for branding and digital presentation and understand how to effectively market premium, technical products to commercial customers.

 

You'll inherit established plans and processes, with the initial focus on understanding the business and executing what's already in place. Once established, you'll have the opportunity to bring forward new ideas and improvements.

 

The role is based in Minto, Sydney, with one WFH day per week potentially available following probation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver marketing activity in line with the business, marketing and events calendar
  • Lead website and digital projects, coordinating stakeholders, external specialists and suppliers through to delivery
  • Drive online engagement through SEO, paid search and other digital marketing initiatives
  • Oversee marketing collateral across web, email, presentations, exhibitions, trade materials and product videos
  • Maintain a high standard of branding and ensure marketing effectively communicates Skanos' premium positioning and product benefits
  • Manage and guide the offshore social media resource and coordinate external marketing suppliers
  • Partner with sales and management to ensure marketing activity supports broader commercial objectives
