ABOUT US
Located on Wonnarua Country at the gateway to the Hunter Valley, Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) is a dynamic art gallery serving the community and visitors to Maitland NSW. MRAG has a dedicated audience with over 120,000 visitors annually making our Gallery one of the most visited cultural destinations in the Hunter-region. Our Gallery presents award-winning exhibitions alongside engaging and varied public programs, educational offerings and an in-depth Arts Health program.
Our diverse and vibrant Collection includes over 8000 works by Australian and international artists and continues to grow through selected acquisitions and generous donations.
The Visitor Engagement Lead at Maitland Regional Art Gallery is responsible for leading the MRAG Visitor Engagement Team in the delivery of daily front-of-house Gallery operations. Leading a team of Gallery Officers, you will coordinate front of house Gallery rostering, venue hire, exhibition administration, Gallery shop sales, and event logistics.
With a focus on ensuring an exceptional, welcoming and informative experience for all Gallery visitors the Visitor Engagement Lead is also responsible for overseeing and directing the delivery of customer experience engagement programs, gallery tours, and educational programs. Taking a lead in enhancing and driving customer engagement with MRAG, the Visitor Engagement Lead will promote exhibitions, events and artists and will monitor and report on visitor engagement metrics, program participation and venue hire.
The Visitor Engagement Lead will also draw on their industry experience to help support curatorial services including exhibition management (preparation, de/installation), collection management, and will contribute to creative learning and promotional activity opportunities within the Gallery.
