As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electronic Equipment Trades Worker with a background in fitness to join our team on a full-time basis.
Job Description
As an Electronic Equipment Trades Technician at Orbit, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fitness and gym equipment. Your role will ensure that our products are in optimal working condition, providing a safe and effective workout experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, inspect, and maintain electronic components and systems of fitness and gym equipment focusing on accurate setup and integration of electronic and hydraulic components.
· Diagnose and repair intricate electronic faults, ensuring the integrity and functionality of circuit boards, control systems, and sensors.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
· Calibrate instruments and control systems to the manufacturer’s exact specifications to ensure high performance and reliability.
· Provide technical support and training to customers and staff.
· Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications and experience
· AQF Certificate III or at least 3 years proven experience in servicing electronic and mechanical systems, preferably in fitness or similar equipment.
· Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
· Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with microcontrollers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
· Familiarity with software used for diagnostics and repairs.
· Knowledge of current industry standards and best practices.
Benefits
· Salary range $76,550 - $80,000 plus bonuses, 12% superannuation, and discounts on fitness gear.
