Nous avons actuellement un poste de Technicien(ne) de service sur chantier à pourvoir. Le ou la Technicien(ne) de service sur chantier est chargé(e) du dépannage, de la réparation et de l’entretien des aspects mécaniques et/ou électriques des équipements et des éléments constitutifs d’exploitation minière souterraine, conformément aux spécifications définies. Le ou la titulaire du poste est également responsable de la mise en service de nouveaux équipements et de la formation sur les sites des clients.

Ce que vous ferez

  • Inspecter l’équipement pour s’assurer le bon fonctionnement et déterminer les défauts et les défaillances.
  • Ajuster l’équipement et réparer/remplacer les éléments constitutifs ou systèmes défectueux selon l’étendue des travaux afin de remettre l’équipement aux spécifications de fabrication originales.
  • Vérifier le bon fonctionnement de l’équipement réparé.
  • Voir à la mise en service de nouveaux équipements.
  • Remplir avec précision les relevés de temps, les rapports techniques, les rapports de défaillance et les listes de pièces.
  • Se tenir au courant des développements de l’industrie, des clients, des produits et des meilleures pratiques techniques.
  • S’acquitter des autres tâches qui lui sont confiées.

Santé et sécurité environnementales

  • Se conformer aux politiques de sécurité et à la réglementation ou les exigences pertinentes du gouvernement, du client ou de l’industrie.
  • Responsable d’identifier et de signaler toute habitude de travail dangereuse, tout incident sur le lieu de travail et/ou tout incident évité de justesse. Effectuer une évaluation des risques « Take 5 » avant chaque tâche.
  • Entretenir les outils à main et l’équipement afin d’assurer un fonctionnement sûr.
  • Maintenir un lieu de travail ordonné et s’assurer que les exigences en matière des règles sont respectées.
  • Participer aux formations sur l’environnement, la santé et la sécurité.
  • Porter l’équipement de protection individuelle (EPI) requis pour chaque tâche.

Ce que vous apporterez

  • Diplôme ou certificat dans un domaine pertinent (mécanique/électrique) ou expérience équivalente en tant que mécanicien(ne) d’équipement lourd.
  • Cinq (5) ans d’expérience connexe avec de l’équipement minier (souterrain).
  • Capacité de travailler en français et en anglais, un atout.
  • Expérience antérieure avec l’équipement ou les produits de Sandvik, un atout.
  • Capacité de lire des schémas hydrauliques et électriques.
  • Capacité démontrée de diagnostiquer, de dépanner et de réparer des problèmes électriques et mécaniques sur l’équipement d’exploitation minière.
  • Solides compétences en communication écrite et verbale.
  • Compétences informatiques et expérience en matière du progiciel Microsoft.
  • Permis de conduire en règle est requis et volonté de voyager aux sites miniers et à travers le Canada, selon les besoins.
  • Capacité et volonté de travailler des horaires variés, selon les besoins.

Currently, we have an opening for a Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and / or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components according to defined specifications and is also responsible for new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites.

What you will be doing

  • Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment & repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scope of work to restore equipment to original manufacture specifications.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
  • Commission new equipment.
  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
  • Stay current with industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Environmental Health and Safety

  • Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
  • Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
  • Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

  • Diploma or certificate in mechanical/electrical field or equivalent experience as Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic.
  • Five (5) years of related experience with mining equipment (underground).
  • Ability to work in both French and English would be an asset.
  • Previous experience with Sandvik equipment would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required).
