A great opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Therapist (either Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist) to work within the area of Hand Therapy and Rheumatology in the out-patient therapy setting. This post offers a great chance for a motivated individual to develop within this field. There is an excellent in-service set up including m onthly supervision with a senior member of staff and m onthly team training.
Within the role you will be expected to supervise junior members of staff and students from surrounding Universities, for which training is provided.

The successful candidate will join a team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, a Senior Therapy Assistant and work alongside the multidisciplinary team.

Specialised, experienced practitioner employed to assess and treat a caseload of patients who require Hand Therapy, rehabilitation and splinting, including Plastic Surgery, Rheumatology, Trauma and Orthopaedics and GP patients
To participate in the planning, co-ordinating and delivery of the Hand Therapy Service
To supervise, educate and assess the performance of more junior/rotational staff within the specialty
To be a Practice Educator, supervising and assessing Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy students on placement
The post holder will participate in quality and audit activity and management of clinical role
Deputising for the Team Lead when required
