We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent organisation skills and experience working in the electric mobility/clean energy sector.
YOUR PROFILE
What we are looking for:
Experience in the e-mobility or clean energy sector will be a clear advantage so the role holder can hit the ground running.
Management experience is essential: This position has 1 direct report. The role holder will also work closely with agencies such as our PR and SEO agencies.
A marketing degree with demonstrable B2B and B2C campaign strategy & management experience improving the sales pipeline through lead generation and brand awareness activities.
Exceptional organisation skills with good time management and able to juggle multiple projects at once under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
THE ROLE
Mer UK has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Marketing Manager (Maternity cover for up to 12 months) to join the team.
The Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Group Marketing and Communication based in Norway and will work closely with the local sales & operations teams based in London and Consett and the rest of the Marketing team based in Norway, Sweden and Germany. The role will oversee the UK Marketing department and manage the Content and Communication Manager. This is a very hands-on role with a variety of tasks including implementing the marketing strategy through the creation and management of strategic marketing campaigns for both B2B and B2C, overview of PPC & paid ads, PR, event management, marketing material creation, chargers branding & instructions updates all in line with the marketing budget allocated.
You will be reporting activities and results to your manager and the UK management team and liaise with senior leaders across the UK and Europe to increase Mer brand awareness, generate sales pipeline and position the company as a thought leader and sustainable charge point operator. This role requires expert knowledge of marketing strategy & analytics, campaign development and management and an understanding of the electric mobility sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring you are delivering on the 2025 marketing objectives and regularly reviewing the results against the main objectives.
Managing the Content & Communication Manager and effectively, allocating tasks, reviewing their work and supporting their development.
Developing and communicating the right messages to the right prospect segments to meet business targets.
Creating, managing and reporting on marketing campaigns aimed at different audiences (B2B/B2C).
Developing and regularly reporting to the senior team against our KPIs to measure and monitor performance of marketing initiatives and take appropriate action to ensure they deliver maximum return.
Maintaining internal communication making sure all our stakeholders are informed on marketing activities and control the use of the Mer brand at internal/external level.
Working closely with sales and operations including the customer service team to develop marketing material that meet customer needs and demands.
Setting up the 2026 strategy with the marketing and sales teams.
