Method Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As a Method Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining engine maintenance and component repair processes to ensure efficient and high-quality execution. You will collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and continuous improvement teams to implement best practices and drive operational excellence. Analyze and define manufacturing methods and workflows for maintenance and repair capabilities (new and existing). Develop and maintain technical documentation including work instructions, process sheets, parts, and tooling requirements. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and supply chain teams to ensure effective methods are developed and implemented. Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies. Support the introduction of new technologies, equipment, and automation into production. Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and root cause investigations for production issues. Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements. Participate in PFMEA, control plans, and risk assessments. Provide technical support to maintenance teams and train operators on new processes. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, aerospace engineering or related field; alternatively, a certified AME with equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years of experience in a methods engineering role, preferably in aerospace. Experience in aircraft engine maintenance or component repair preferable. Strong knowledge of processes such as machining, assembly, composites, or sheet metal. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
