Qualifications: Intermediate/Senior Qualifications and Special Education Part 1/2 years in accumulated experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher or hold a Special Education Specialist Qualification.

This teaching assignment is in a specialized Learning Support Classroom (LSC) at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School, supporting students with complex and intensive needs, including Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and other co-occurring disabilities. The educator will plan and deliver instruction in functional literacy, numeracy, and life skills to help students develop essential competencies for independence and meaningful community participation.
Working collaboratively with a team of professionals, the educator will also assist in the design and implementation of an ABA-based program tailored to individual student needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in inclusive practices, trauma-informed approaches, and collaborative problem-solving, while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that reflects each student’s unique strengths and challenges.
This position is available for the 2025-2026 school year. Consideration will be given only to teachers who have or who will obtain the required qualifications prior to the beginning of the assignment.
