Education and Experience:
An earned doctorate in a relevant discipline, along with a record of teaching, research, and service sufficient for appointment as a professor at UCW.A successful track record as a dean or department head or in other leadership roles involving significant administrative experience within a university or similarly complex organization.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The founding Dean of the School of Management and Business, a member of UCW’s senior administration, will be working in collaboration with the Vice-President, Academic, and the founding dean of the School of Arts, Science, and Technology with the goal of completing the reorganization of the departmental structure within the Academic Portfolio.
The Dean will develop a compelling vision for the School, which is aligned with the broader mission and strategic objectives of the institution, and will lead the planning efforts to enhance the reputation, ranking, and impact of the business programs locally, nationally, and internationally.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dean, School of Management and Business will, at various times, be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support UCW’s business objectives, mission, and purpose:
Promote reconciliation and decolonization and integrate Indigenous ways of knowing into curricula.Foster UCW’s commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and access, including a commitment to fostering a respectful and supportive environment at all levels.
