What We’re Looking For:

✔ Strong knowledge of high school Math, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry (Grades 9-12).

✔ Excellent communication skills—able to break down complex topics clearly.

✔ Friendly, patient, and able to manage one-on-one or small-group sessions.

✔ At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory).

✔ Available for in-person (Markham) or online sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Educate students on mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide tutoring and additional support for students who may require special education services.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

  • A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience as a mathematics teacher or tutor is preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with laboratory settings for practical applications of mathematical principles is beneficial.
  • A passion for educating students and helping them achieve their academic goals.
