• People management is a key aspect of the role – you will promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity and learning, while mentoring and developing colleagues through effective leadership, role modelling and training programs. You will aim to facilitate personal growth and career development in support of succession planning.
• You will also play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market.
• Underwriting of Casualty lines in accordance to underwriting authority including: WICA,Public/Products Liability, Environmental Impairment Liability, Product Recall.
• Day to day servicing of existing portfolio – both renewals and new business.
• Work alongside actuarial departments and claims on complex risks.
• Manage referrals to management to support underwriting decisions and actions.
• Prioritize workload to achieve internal and external deadlines.
• Contribute to Singapore and APAC projects when necessary, including digital transformation.
• Striving to meet profit center and personal new business budget targets.
• Identify business opportunities and convert ideas to reality through product development and enhancement.
• Work with other Departments across AIG to achieve corporate objectives.
• Build on the Company profile in the market.
• Proactively keep up to date with industry and business issues
