Dit omvat de ontwikkeling van nieuw schakelapparatuur in lijn met klantvereisten binnen de energietransitiemarkt binnen IEC. Het ontwerpwerk omvat zowel mechanische als elektrotechnische aspecten en bestaat uit 3D-constructie, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Robustness en Design to Cost. Wij zoeken een pro-actieve persoon met sterke technische vaardigheden, interesse en ambitie, die graag samenwerkt in een creatieve, open en transparante internationale omgeving. De engineer zal nauw samenwerken met onze klanten en hun behoeften vertalen naar een product en/of oplossing. Bij Eaton zetten we ons in om het leven van mensen en het milieu te verbeteren met energiebeheertechnologieen die betrouwbaarder, efficienter, veiliger en duurzamer zijn. Dat is wat echt telt en wij zorgen ervoor dat het werkt. Wat ga je doen? Ontwikkelen van elektro/mechanische ontwerpen voor producten, retro-fits, updates en nieuwe functionaliteiten. Het leveren van 3D CAD-ontwerpen volgens de ontwerpstandaarden. Communiceren met klanten over specifieke ontwerpopdrachten en projectvergaderingen. Werken volgens een gestructureerd stage-gate proces, waarbij je Design for Six Sigma-tools toepast zoals de Pugh-matrix, DFMEA's, DFA, tolerantiesstudies, foutbestendigheid en P-diagrammen. Zorgen dat componenten en assemblages voldoen aan geldende industriële en bedrijfsnormen. Samenwerken in multidisciplinaire teams om specificatie-eisen, ontwerpbeoordelingen, maakbaarheid, onderhoudbaarheid en productkosten te evalueren. Proactief risico's identificeren en oplossingen zoeken binnen het ontwerp, in samenwerking met collega's en experts. Valideren van nieuwe ontwerpen door middel van berekeningen, evaluaties, modellen, prototypes en testen. Coördineren van fysieke tests op prototypes en leiden van ontwerpreviews en verificaties, en waar nodig ontwerpen aanpassen. Beheren van onderdelen en assemblages voor productie in samenwerking met de productiefaciliteit. Bijdragen aan een Kaizen-cultuur, waar verandering een vast onderdeel is van het dagelijks werk. Qualifications: MSc / BSc-diploma in Werktuigbouwkunde met interesse in ontwerpen en constructies. 0 - 3 jaar ervaring als Engineer in een relevante sector, pas afgestudeerd kan ook. Vaardigheden: Basiskennis van schakelapparatuurontwerp en fabricageprocessen. Ervaring met het werken met 3D-ontwerpsoftware en algemene Microsoft Office-tools. Design for Six Sigma Green Belt-certificering (of ambitie om deze te behalen). Teamspeler met een digitale mindset en leergierigheid. Vaardigheid in plannen, coördineren en probleemoplossend werken.
