Impawsible Pups is a rapidly growing animal care facility located in the near west end of Richmond. We watch a variety of dogs (and sometimes cats) on a daily basis, and our goal is to provide the best care possible while still having fun.
The shift hours will be 6am-9:30pm with an hour lunch break and an hour 1/2 dinner break. you will be working 3 days on/3 days off on a rotating schedule so an open availability is required.
We are searching for a shift supervisor to ensure that everything runs smoothly when the owners or manager are not on site. Responsibilities would include:

Assist in training of new hires.
Ensure health and safety of animals in our care
Communication with owners and manager about potential issues or possible ideas.
Guiding and leading the rest of the staff and making sure rules and guidelines are followed.
Communicating with clients and pet parents in a professional manner to ensure the best possible care for their pets.
Opening and closing
This is very much a hands on position and you will be expected to work alongside the rest of the staff. A basic understanding of dog care is a MUST. The job is physically demanding and you will encounter barking dogs, heavy lifting, active pets, and cleaning equipment on a daily basis.
Requirements include:
2+ years supervisory experience (not necessarily dog related)
1+ year kennel experience
1+ year customer service
holiday availability
Availability for special events such as trade shows and expos
