JOB SUMMARY

As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of key software applications that drive our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions that align with the dynamic needs of our business. This role requires a deep understanding of software development principles, a passion for continuous learning, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft .Net, .NET Core, C#, and Oracle PL/SQL (or equivalent technologies).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software security standards and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in offshoring overseas development teams is a plus.
• Experience in the Wholesale/Retail industry is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and team members to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure and well-documented code using industry-standard languages and frameworks such as Microsoft .Net, .Net Core, C#, and Oracle PL/SQL (or equivalent technologies).
• Ensure software solutions adhere to industry best practices and IT security frameworks, implementing secure coding practices throughout the development process.
• Advocate for and implement modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with system engineers to design and implement cross platform applications, leveraging the containerization technologies to enhance scalability and agility.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring coding standards are met.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing software applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging software development trends and technologies, including containerization and microservices.
• Work with global teams, understanding and accommodating the challenges of offshoring and outsourcing software development.
• Assist in the integration of third-party software and services, ensuring seamless operation within existing systems.
• Document technical specifications and user guides to ensure easy handoff and future reference.
