DESCRIPTION In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing the on-device software platform that enables Siri to deliver on Apple Intelligence throughout the OS. You will design and implement new features, optimize system performance for low-latency interaction, and help integrate intelligent experiences into people's daily lives. You will work closely with engineers across Siri and the wider Apple organization to create scalable, efficient, and user-focused solutions that leverage the latest advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and on-device intelligence. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with 5+ years developing and shipping production software. Strong proficiency in C++, Swift, or Objective-C, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Strong understanding of OS internals, concurrency, multithreading, and memory management. Strong familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI assistants, with experience using GenAI-based tools to accelerate engineering tasks (e.g., code generation, testing, or system analysis). Experience with system performance analysis and optimization techniques. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development team. Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and learn new technologies quickly. Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across different technical teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency with Swift and Xcode, with experience building applications for Apple platforms. Experience designing and developing systems that are efficient in resource-constrained environments.
