boundaries of autonomy, reasoning, and decision-making in local African languages
Our mission is to build intelligent agents that can interact seamlessly with people, data
and applications while driving innovation across industries.
We are ooking for a Software Engineer who will help us build, deploy and manage
agentic Al systems. as well as design and maintain a data collection platform
accessible via both the web and the Apple App Store.
Key Responsibilities
Al Agent Development & Management
Build, customize, and maintain Al agents with reasoning, planning, and
multi-modal capabilities
Integrate agents with external APIs, knowledge bases, and workflows
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of agentic systems
Data Collection Platform
Architect, build, and maintain a scalable data collection platform for
speech/text/video/image inputs
Deploy production-ready applications on web and mobile
Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations
(e.g. GDPR).
Collaboration & Research
Work closely with Al researchers, linguists, and product teams to turn
research prototypes into production systems.
Participate in design discussions and help shape product direction.
Document systems, provide technical mentorship, and contribute to team
best practices
Required Skillset
Core Engineering Skills
Strong proficiency in Python and at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C+
+or Java).
Solid understanding of distributed systems, APls, and scalable backend
architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proficiency with databases (SQL+ NoSQL), data pipelines, and ETL
workflows.
Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
Al & Agents
Experience with Al/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
Familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g.,LangChain,Llamalndex,AutoGen,or
custom multi-agent systems).
Knowledge of NLP, ASR, TTS, or multimodal Al is a strong plus.
Ability to integrate LLMs and fine-tune or orchestrate them for
downstream applications.
Frontend & Mobile
Strong skills in web development (React, Next.js, or similar).
Experience building and publishing ioS apps (Swift/SwiftUl or
React Native/Flutter).
Familiarity with App Store deployment process and maintenance.
Other Requirements
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environmnent.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with Al ethics, bias, and data privacy considerations.
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with speech and language technologies.
Priorwork on crowdsourced or user-facing data collection platforms.
Knowledge of real-time data streaming (Kafka, WebSockets).
Familiarity with serverless architectures.
Native speaker competence in one African language.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $26,859.86 per year
