Resumen The Quality Engineer I is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities to ensure products and manufacturing processes meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities: Support daily quality activities on the production floor to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Investigate product and process quality issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in root cause analysis using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and PFMEA. Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans. Support internal and external audits, including customer, ISO, and regulatory audits. Monitor and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Assist in validating manufacturing processes and implementing process controls. Support supplier quality activities, including supplier issue resolution and corrective action follow-up. Review nonconforming material reports and disposition activities. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure quality requirements are met. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and quality management systems. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Engineering, or related field). Experience 1–3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related role in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the maquiladora industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5 Why, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA). Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems. Ability to analyze data and identify trends using Excel and other reporting tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems and quality management software is a plus.
