ABOUT THIS ROLE: As the Assistant Store Manager you will assist the Store Manager in the daily store duties. To oversee the department(s) assigned by the store manager. To maintain a positive environment for our guests/donors and a fun and productive place for our volunteers and staff to work. St. Matthew’s House is faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies Coordinate daily guest/donor service operations Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best Coach and support new and existing team members Monitor operating costs, budgets and resources Suggest training programs and techniques Communicate with guests/donors and evaluate their needs Handle complaints from guest/donors Create reports, analyze and interpret data Conduct regular audits to ensure the highest level of service Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and core values Act as St. Matthew's House representative and set an example for our staff.
