Job Title: Storeroom Clerk Location: Eglin Air Force Base, Florida Reports To: Site Manager / Supply Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of food service items, cleaning supplies, and general stock used in the dining facility operations. This individual ensures proper stock rotation, accurate documentation, and compliance with food safety and military regulations. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against invoices or purchase orders for accuracy and quality. * Store items in appropriate storage areas, ensuring correct temperature and sanitation standards are met (dry, refrigerated, and frozen). * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and all storage areas. * Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness. * Accurately issue stock to production areas and document all transactions. * Conduct periodic physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records. * Assist in maintaining inventory levels by notifying management when stock is low or expired. * Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, dollies, etc.) in a safe and effective manner. * Ensure compliance with all safety and food handling procedures per military and company guidelines. * Maintain logs, reports, and records as required by site and regulatory standards. * Report any damaged, spoiled, or infested stock to the appropriate supervisor. * Support delivery and unloading of vendor shipments when necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned in support of dining facility operations. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED required. * Minimum of 1 year experience in storeroom, warehouse, or inventory control (preferably in a food service environment). * Knowledge of military food service operations or prior experience on military installations preferred. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor (standing, bending, lifting) throughout the shift. * Must pass a background check and obtain base access clearance. * Familiarity with basic inventory software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). * ServSafe certification is a plus. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Work Schedule: Full-time, may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on dining facility needs.
