Rose Pallet is a growing pallet distributor offering solutions to industrial customers. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality products on time and at competitive prices, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors. Our Operations Manager will play a critical role in achieving our operational goals and supporting our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Relationship Management:
· Develop and maintain relationships with high-quality pallet suppliers, including occasional in-person visits (with supervisor approval).
· Maintain a comprehensive and current database of vendor contacts and mill information.
· Expand the network of qualified vendors locally and regionally; some travel is required.
Order and Delivery Management:
· Oversee some order processes, from entry to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
· Negotiate prices with vendors to secure competitive rates while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
Client and Sales Team Support:
· Assist the sales team with pricing, selecting suitable vendors, and quality control for orders.
· Handle customer service calls, manage customer inquiries and complaints, and ensure client satisfaction.
· Support new business opportunities by taking cold calls and determining account assignments under supervisor direction.
Logistics and Scheduling:
· Maintain a daily delivery schedule, coordinating updates and communicating changes promptly to clients, vendors, and sales staff in a fast-paced environment.
· Conduct on-site quality control inspections at customer locations to ensure satisfaction and product quality.
Compliance and Documentation:
· Ensure all client files are complete and organized, enabling quick access to necessary information.
· Maintain adherence to safety and regulatory standards across all operational functions.
Requirements:
· Analytical problem solver with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
· Proven background in logistics, trucking, warehousing, or distribution center operations.
· Strong sense of urgency with the ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure.
· Excellent negotiation skills, with a keen ability to foster strong vendor relationships.
· High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Benefits:
· Salary: $65,000 - $80,000, based on experience and qualifications.
· Company laptop, and cell phone/stipend.
· Expense account, health insurance contribution, and a generous PTO program.
Hours: Variable based on vendor and client needs. (Monday - Friday - First 60 days onsite - Hybrid after initial onboarding).
