The opportunity Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Tax Manager – AU you will be responsible for taxation aspects of the Australian Group. In this role, you will deliver trusted, high‑quality tax services and advice that help to drive the strategic growth of the business. With the Australian business being a high strategic focus across the group, the role will have a key impact on future growth opportunities. About you You are an experienced tax professional with strong expertise across Australian taxation requirements, including income tax, GST, FBT and Transfer Pricing principles. You will have the ability to adapt to change and to lead the implementation of new Tax legislation impacting our business. Commercially minded and detail-oriented, you take pride in delivering accurate, practical, and timely advice while building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You are naturally curious, committed to continuous learning, and motivated by solving complex problems. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, you balance strong technical capability with a collaborative approach and enjoy sharing knowledge to lift capability across the wider business. Key responsibilities: • Tax Accounting: Prepare tax calculations and IAS‑compliant financial statement disclosures (tax expense, payable and deferred tax), alongside accurate tax expense reporting and forecasting. • Tax Compliance: Manage compliance returns and collaborate effectively with external tax advisors. Review transfer pricing requirements across a global group and effectively manage implications. • Tax Risk Management: Support reporting and assurance activities within the Beca Tax Governance Framework. • Tax Advisory: Provide insightful advice on taxation aspects of significant projects and business transactions.
