REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching any subject at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop their literacy skills.
• DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Secondary DT Teacher to join our team on a supply basis for a Maternity cover starting in October 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and passionate teacher to contribute to the education of students in a variety of secondary schools across the area.
As a Supply Teacher, you will be required to deliver high-quality lessons to students, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated while maintaining the high standards of teaching. This role offers flexibility, with placements available across different schools for varying durations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Differentiate lessons to cater for various abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with other members of staff to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
• Promote a love of reading and writing among students, encouraging their creativity and critical thinking.
