JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our small swimming teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in sports coaching. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of all ages from baby to Stage 10, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Ripple Kids is an established highly regarded children’s swim school based in Abingdon, South Oxfordshire.

REQUIREMENTS

• Level 1 or higher Swimming Teaching/Aquatics qualification (STA or ASA)
• Previous experience in sports coaching or swimming teaching
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
• Ability to work every Sunday in term time.
• Current certification in lifeguarding or NRASTAC
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping others improve their swimming abilities.
• A friendly can do attitude
• Qualification in pool testing would be an added bonus with extra pay benefits (we will pay for this if you’re interested to qualify)

• Conduct small group swimming lessons for various age groups
• Deliver quality private lessons
• Teach proper swimming techniques, water safety skills, in a fun and engaging way
• Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with students and their families
