REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience teaching young children.
• Exceptional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, equivalent to HSK Level 6 or higher, with accurate pronunciation and the ability to model correct tone and grammar for early learners.
• Ability to teach Chinese language and culture to young children using accurate, fluent, and age-appropriate communication.
• Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
• A genuine love for working with young children and a passion for creating meaningful, joyful learning experiences.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Commitment to stay for at least one academic year following a probation period.

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging Mandarin lessons using songs, rhymes, stories, props, and movement to capture children’s interest.
• Adapt activities to suit different learning needs and styles, ensuring every child feels included and supported.
• Foster a safe, warm, and stimulating classroom environment that builds children’s confidence in speaking and understanding Mandarin.
• Maintain high standards of organisation, supervision, and child safety at all times.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents about progress and ways to support learning at home.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school’s community and ethos.
• Attend meetings, training, and events as required.
