Adapt instruction as needed to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking. Grade assignments and student work based on rubrics and exemplars, in accordance with school policies. Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress regularly and provide individualized support and interventions as needed. Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Provide individual and small group support to students as needed. Identify and address student academic and social-emotional needs. Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and school staff. Provide timely and informative feedback to students on their work. Conduct regular parent-teacher calls and conferences to discuss student progress and address both, positive student behavior and potential concerns. Utilize effective communication channels, such as ParentSquare messages, to keep parents and families informed about classroom activities and student progress. Communicate effectively with colleagues to share information, resources, and best practices. Communicate professionally with administrators, network staff, and other stakeholders. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the school's administrative and support staff to ensure student success. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other teachers to ensure continuity of instruction. Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees to contribute to the overall success of the school. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Stay current on best practices in education and child development. Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative tasks such as taking attendance, collecting and distributing homework and materials, enforcing dress code, and maintaining classroom organization. Oversee student safety and well-being during class time, recess, and lunch periods. Enforce school rules and procedures consistently. Be familiar with and follow school emergency procedures, including lockdown, fire drills, and evacuation plans. Perform other duties, as assigned. Previous experience in charter schools, preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials. Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization. Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds. Compensation The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $96,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
