To work alongside the specialist midwife in a support role co-ordinating care for women accessing maternity services with mental health and complex social needs. To implement personalised midwifery care To provide midwifery advice to colleagues regarding perinatal mental health and facilitate training for staff To liaise with and maintain good relationships with the multidisciplinary team, referring to medical staff when a clinical abnormality is identified and ensure treatment is carried out. To act up in the absence of the specialist midwife for perinatal mental health and complex care. To delegate and undertake other duties as appropriate and necessary to maintain best care for women and effective team function
