Job Description The School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work are seeking to appoint an outstanding Academic in Social Work, eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, to lead its dynamic Social Work Discipline. You will be expected to mentor and lead a team of Social Work and Human Service academics in conducting high quality research, delivering quality teaching, innovating field education and international engagement, and providing service to the Social Work profession and the broader community. Your strategic leadership will strengthen and grow our areas of research excellence, including domestic and family violence, child and family, forensic mental health, palliative care, and technology supported social work interventions (climate and poverty) as well as new and emerging areas. Successful collaboration with major research centres and institutes - including the Disrupting Violence and Inclusive Futures Beacons, the Centre for Mental Health Research and Griffith Criminology Institute will be expected. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accreditation standards is maintained for all social work and human service programs and field education, and will represent the University on high-level bodies including the Australian Council of Heads of Social Work Education. You will have an international track record in fundable research, publishing in high quality outlets and successfully supervising higher degree research students to timely completion.
