Mount Isa Mines are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor – Mines Power Station.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Trade qualification – Electrician with an equivalent Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
Post trade experience in an operating fixed plant process environment or similar (minimum of 5 years)
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Excel and Word
Safety as a core personal value
Ability to work within an integrated & diverse team with challenging deadlines
Ability to run contracting teams and small projects
The ability to make decisions, work to deadlines, high level of work quality, exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) and strive for a continuous improvement
Highly organised with effective time management skills to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
THE ROLE
We have a residential position available within our Mines Power Station Maintenance team. This exciting opportunity will see you join the Mines Power Station leadership group reporting to the Superintendent. In this role you will be required to effectively co-ordinate and supervise a team of electrical personnel carrying out maintenance, calibrations, projects, and installation work within the Mines Power Station assets.
As the person to control electrical works, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD INCLUDE AMONG OTHER THINGS:
Electrical safety & statutory compliance.
Planning and controlling maintenance operations to optimise the use of all available resources
Provide support to the Mechanical and Operational teams
Completing Operational / Capital electrical projects
Provide supervision for electrical contractors
Management of your crew’s performance
Managing shutdown work
Conducting regular compliance audits and workplace inspections
Building and maintaining an effective team through coaching and personnel role modelling
Identifying and completing electrical continuous improvement projects
Supporting supervisors and the management team to achieve maintenance and production targets
Promoting a constructive culture within your team
