MajorDuties
As a Research Microbiologist you will: Plan, prioritize, initiate, design, conduct, coordinate, direct and lead basic and applied research studies. Assess microbial adaptation to antimicrobials in the environment; the role of pathogenic bacteria as pathogenic and immunizing agents. Provide consultation and advice to the agency in areas of personal research expertise. Participate in the development of policy and educational documents and on review and advisory panels. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, considering difficulty and requirements of assignments as well as the capabilities of employees. Supervise a small contingent of positions. Other duties as assigned.
