What You’ll Do as a Bridge Engineer Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design. Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures. Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets. Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations. Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Assist with field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design.
