We are currently recruiting for our undergraduate Podiatry course for September 2025, which runs in parallel with our Podiatry apprenticeship course.

About the Job
We seek an experienced Lecturer in Podiatry to teach, mentor, and contribute to research and course development. You will be key in enhancing the student experience and working with external partners, the key responsibilities will cover the following:

Teach across undergraduate and apprenticeship courses.

• Conduct research and participate in knowledge exchange.
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship.
• Support course and module development.
• Contribute to student recruitment and engagement activities.
• Develop and enhance placement opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator passionate about Podiatry and student success. At UEL, we work with several local leading trust partners who offer innovative placement experiences. The professional programmes at UEL thrive on the supportive partnership relationship with practice partners across the communities of East London and serves to support the health and social care needs of the local population. As well as local partners, UEL has a close relationship with Health Education England and works with the local strategic workforce boards to ensure that programmes at UEL are representative of the local workforce needs.
We invite enthusiastic candidates who are registered with the Health and Care Professions council and hold a relevant degree in Podiatry. The school is based at the Stratford Campus within easy walking distance of the Olympic Park, vibrant Westfield shopping centre and developing east London cultural quarter and has extensive and easy transport links. Ideally you will have expertise in a specialist area of Podiatry, coupled with experience in mentoring/supervising students, higher education teaching experience in the UK, including module development. You will have strong communication and administrative skills, a commitment to inclusivity and student support, research and publication experience, experience with flexible and distance learning in addition with a Teaching qualification (e.g., HEA Fellowship).

Qualifications

• Degree in Podiatry.
• HCPC registration.

Desirable:

• Higher degree in a relevant field.
