OT Responsibilities: * Provide ministry funded, community based Occupational Therapy services within the pediatric client’s (infant to 18 years of age) place of residence, private school and/or through virtual services * Provide occupational therapy assessment (through interview, standardized and informal assessment techniques) in the areas of fine motor, sensory, feeding, developmental, home safety, home modifications, equipment prescription, mobility, etc. * Develop and implement best practice and evidence-based occupational therapy intervention in collaboration with clients/caregivers * Assign patient care plan, and provide supervision and monitoring of occupational therapy assistants when appropriate * Effectively communicate information by providing education to client/caregivers and linking to community agencies/resources when appropriate * Complete funding applications as applicable * Complete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, the referral source and COTO standards * Opportunity to service private clients Requirements: * Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (required) * Experience working within a community setting is an asset but new graduates are welcome * Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team * Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlines * Excellent oral, written and report writing skills * Proficiency with computers * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills * Reliable transportation is required for this position Visit us on http://www.car-rehab.com Apply today!
