Addiction & Mental Health Supported Housing (AMH Supported Housing) is a fast paced and growing area within the AMH portfolio. We currently partner with several agencies in the Edmonton area to provide a broad range of clinical services to the clients who reside in both our transitional and long-term housing sites. We work from a Recovery Oriented System of Care. Our teams are passionate in providing clinical service to the AMH population who have a history of houselessness or are at high risk of losing their housing. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Social Worker II to join our teams that currently support sites operated by NiGiNan Housing Ventures. This position is based at the Pimatisiwin site and will be focused on the long-term housing program. Some cover off and support to Ambrose Place may be required. The position is part of a multi-disciplinary team and will assist in assessment, treatment planning and overall client care. The Social Worker will also have the ability to liaise with other teams within the health care system. Generalist social work tasks are part of the role. This position requires someone with a thorough understanding of the Indigenous experience and history in Canada who will be able to work from the Indigenous world view. Strong collaboration and communication skills are a must. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
