This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Web Developer in North America. This role is perfect for a motivated developer with early to mid-level experience in WordPress and front-end development. You will work remotely to build, customize, and maintain client websites, create landing pages for lead generation, and ensure every project meets high-quality standards. Collaborating closely with the lead developer and project teams, you will solve technical challenges, optimize user experiences, and maintain attention to detail in both design and functionality. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to multiple projects, learn from experienced peers, and grow your skills while working in a remote-first environment that values communication, initiative, and problem-solving. Accountabilities: · Develop and maintain WordPress websites using child themes and custom templates. · Build and modify landing pages for marketing campaigns and lead generation. · Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility. · Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress issues, including hosting and server-related problems. · Collaborate with project leads, designers, and clients to deliver projects on time. · Optimize website performance, including site speed, SEO basics, and security considerations. · Set up local development environments for testing and deployment. · Maintain clear documentation and communicate progress effectively in a remote team. · 1–2 years of professional WordPress development experience (excluding WordPress.com). · Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. · Experience with mobile-responsive design, cross-browser testing, and development best practices. · Comfortable using WHM/cPanel and managing deployments. · Problem-solving mindset and ability to find solutions independently. · Good design sense and ability to select and optimize images. · Reliable internet connection, computer, and communication tools for remote work.
