We are actively seeking an Engineering Analyst, Intermediate (1 year contract) to join our Cambridge, ON team! We currently have 4 openings.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or associated fields with strong background in solid mechanics and/or fluid mechanics.
• Fully Proficient experience and knowledge (typically 10+ yrs) of:
• Finite element analysis.
• General purpose FE codes such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, ANSYS CFX, FLUENT, and numerical packages such as MathCAD or Matlab.
• HTRI XIST and RELAP analysis code (would be an asset).
• Nuclear plant functions and ASME Code (would be an asset).
• CSA S16 or equivalent structural codes (would be an asset).
• Programming languages such as FORTRAN, C, C++ or other languages such as python or VBA (would be an asset).
• Proven problem solving and organization skills and ability to develop effective working relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $82,000 and $126,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. The Engineering Analyst (Int) performs Structural Qualification of nuclear components including steam generators, heat exchangers, process vessels and piping assemblies, and/or to perform Thermal-hydraulic Analysis of heat exchanger equipment including steam generators and shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Analysis & Qualification, this role interacts with other Engineering Analysts and Project Engineering to provide input and support.
