Job Description
Middlesex University seeks to appoint an outstanding leader as Dean of the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education. With campuses in London, Dubai and Mauritius, Middlesex University works with our partners with the aim that every student can succeed in a professional graduate career, achieve their potential, and enjoy their time at university.
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Dean will be a member of the University Executive Team, the appointee will be committed to ensuring the Faculty provides a relevant and inspiring portfolio, an inclusive and responsive learning environment, and excellent learning and teaching. They will maintain and develop our strong relationships with external stakeholders, including professional bodies and employers.
The successful candidate will be an experienced academic with a track-record of managing people and resources in a relevant disciplinary area. They will be a commercially minded and strategic leader with a track record of positive organisational change. Committed to preparing students for graduate careers, they will also be skilled at fostering an inclusive and enabling research and knowledge exchange environment, and excellent at establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with partners. Candidates will be attracted to the prospect of contributing to the next ambitious phase of Middlesex University’s development.
