The NSW Productivity and Equality Commissioner plays a pivotal role in shaping the State’s long‑term productivity and living standards agenda. Primary purpose of the role The Commissioner is responsible for identifying opportunities to boost productivity growth across the private and public sectors, with the objective of improving living standards for the people of New South Wales. How you will make an impact Through this role, you will: Identify reforms that lift productivity and improve living standards across NSW. Ensure policy advice considers equity and fairness, including the distribution of costs and benefits across communities, locations and generations. Strengthen the quality, credibility and public trust in economic policy advice. Help Government and the community understand why productivity reform matters and how it supports long‑term prosperity.
